The Rumours are abound while Apple giggle about the promotion. The little birdy told me that Apple is about to release a new Tablet Computer and it could be special. On the other hand is this just a large IPOD ? time will tell what Apple has up its sleave. Either way Apple MAC seemed to be pleased with themselves.  Apparently Steve Jobs (CEO at Apple) will announce the new product at the end of this month or early February 2010 and it could retail at around £350.

Yes you heard it right – Microsoft are setting up a team of developers to take over the mobile game market – Its time for us webmasters to all go mobile! – Microsoft  are investing a lot of money into developing new games for the mobile market with a operating system for mobile games on the way -  XBOX Live on your mobile – sounds great…

Microsoft has lost a court appeal in a patent case that will force it to change Microsoft Word to avoid an injunction on sales of the MIcrosoft leading software title, Microsoft Word.

Microsoft lost the patent case which involved a company called i4i. In May 2009, after a court jury ruled that Microsoft infringed one of i4i’s patents by using a custom XML feature found in Microsoft Word and in August 2009 an injunction was placed on sales of Word pending an  appeal. Microsoft did not find favour even at appeal.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with the ruling from the appeals court which upheld the lower court’s decision in its entirety. This is both a vindication for i4i and a war cry for talented inventors whose patents are infringed,” said Loudon Owen, chairman of i4i, in a statement.

The end result is Microsoft Word will be taken off the shelves in 2010.
